Power transformer which 125 year old is the most critical continuously
evolving Electrical Equipment in the network. It is a static equipment but
has been growing steadily in unit rating as well as in voltage. Over the
years , significant improvements have taken place in opera rational
efficiency and reliability. The increase in rating and voltage has put
forward more challenges to Transformer Engineers in reliability.
In this presentation, present day practices and various critical aspects
such as transformer Technology and
Design,Materials,Manufacturing,processing and testing ,Accessories
monitoring and control will be discussed
