REVIEW OF THE 2026 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE
ABOUT THE TOPIC:
The 2026 National Electrical Code (NEC) is the latest version of electrical code issued by the NFPA. This program has been developed to review the new content within the 2026 NEC and various differences from the previous 2023 NEC, in such a way so that the material learned can be applied immediately with increased proficiency, safety and efficiency. This year's seminar will also feature two supporting presentations on related topics

Dan Caddigan, P.E.
Review of the 2026 National Electrical Code
Biography:
Dan Caddigan is a Senior Electrical Engineer. He has a BSEE, MSEE, and MBA from IIT. Dan is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois. For over twenty-five years, Dan taught electrical code courses for Index Publishing and has taught electrical code classes with the Electric Association for the last twenty-two years. Dan was an Electrical Inspector in the City of Chicago for six years and Supervisor of Electrical Inspectors for one year.

Joe Pavia, P.E.
NFPA 70B & 70E
Biography:
Joe Pavia, P.E. is a Senior Field Application Engineer with Eaton’s Bussmann Business. He has over 30 years with Bussmann series solutions, specializing in training on the design and application of overcurrent protective devices and equipment in electrical distribution systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code® and equipment in accordance with the various product standards. He is a registered Professional Engineer for several States, serves on UL508C / UL61800-5-1 STP, NEMA SC07 committee and on Code Making Panel (CMP-1 & CMP-11) for the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). He also is active in various trade organizations including the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), National Electrical Contractor Association (NECA), International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association (NEMA) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Biography:
Daniel Horbaczewski is a lead Electrical Engineer for Diamond Technical Services, Inc.
He has a BSEE from UIC. Dan is a registered Professional Engineer. For over ten years, Daniel has served as principal engineer on numerous major industrial projects for Koppers, ExxonMobil, and Atkore. His primary areas of focus include arc flash hazard analysis, power distribution, and major instrumentation installations.
He has served as secretary and currently as vice chair of the IEEE IAS Chicago Chapter for three years.
