The College of Computing Sciences and Information Technology and the Faculty of Engineering, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, celebrated the first day of Daslakshan Mahaparv with grandeur and devotion on 28th August 2025. The day marked the observance of Uttam Kshama Diwas – the virtue of supreme forgiveness – and was commemorated in the TMU Auditorium in the esteemed presence of university dignitaries, faculty members, students, and staff.
The programme commenced with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, which was performed by the Honorable Chancellor, Group Vice Chairman, Chief Executive Director, Honorable Vice Chancellor, and Dean Faculty of Engineering, Prof. R.K. Dwivedi Sir, along with respected dignitaries. The radiance of the lit lamp symbolized the victory of knowledge over ignorance and the guiding light of spirituality that Jain philosophy bestows upon the world.
The formal proceedings began with the Welcome Address by Prof. R.K. Dwivedi Sir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. In his eloquent words, he reminded everyone that Uttam Kshama is not merely an outward gesture but an inner spiritual discipline that transforms human life. He emphasized how forgiveness liberates the soul from anger, hatred, and ego, leading it closer to peace, compassion, and ultimately moksha. His thoughtful message deeply resonated with the gathering, offering profound insight into the essence of Jain philosophy
