Educational and Recreational Visit to Um Al-Tut Nature Reserve
The IEEE-EMBS Student Chapter at Arab American University is organizing an educational and recreational field visit to Um Al-Tut Nature Reserve in Jenin.
This visit aims to provide biomedical engineering students with an outdoor educational experience that combines environmental awareness, social interaction, and mental well-being alongside academic development.
The activity focuses on enhancing students’ awareness of environmental protection, introducing them to the biodiversity and wildlife of the reserve, and supporting their psychological well-being through nature-based activities. It also aims to strengthen teamwork, cooperation, and encourage participation in meaningful extracurricular activities.
The visit includes a guided tour inside the reserve, an introductory session about its history and environmental importance, an awareness session on environmental conservation and biodiversity, and light recreational group activities. A shared outdoor meal will also be prepared and enjoyed by participants to enhance interaction and team spirit.
