The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Society successfully conducted a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights and IP Management for Start-ups for II Year ECE students.
The session aimed to create awareness about the importance of IPR in innovation and entrepreneurship.Students were introduced to various forms of IPR such as patents, copyrights, and trademarks.The resource person explained the patent filing process and IP management strategies in a simple manner.Real-time examples related to start-ups helped students understand practical applications of IPR.The workshop highlighted the role of IP in enhancing the value and credibility of innovations.Participants actively interacted and showed keen interest in start-up and patent-related concepts.
Overall, the program enriched students’ knowledge and encouraged an innovation-driven mindset
