ExeCom and VolCom Recruitment Process
The present Executive Committee members of BMSIT SPS conducted the interview process for selecting the next ExeCom and VolCom members in a systematic and transparent manner. Initially, a Google Form was circulated to all interested candidates, allowing them to apply for their preferred roles. The form included role-specific questions designed to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and interest. Based on the responses, candidates were shortlisted, after which personal interviews were conducted by the current ExeCom.
During the interviews, candidates were evaluated according to the responsibilities of their chosen roles. Applicants for the Chair and Vice Chair roles discussed leadership strategies, improvements to the chapter’s functioning, team management, decision-making, and continuity across semesters. Treasurer candidates presented a prepared balance sheet for a hypothetical or previously organized event, explaining income sources, expenditures, and fund management practices. Secretary applicants presented structured event reports highlighting documentation of planning and execution.
Candidates for Webmaster, Projects Officer, and Design Officer roles showcased their technical and creative skills through website demonstrations, project presentations, and design samples or mock posters. This multi-stage process ensured fair evaluation and helped identify motivated individuals capable of contributing effectively to the future growth of BMSIT SPS.
