Hands-on Workshop on Embedded Vision & Edge Machine Learning


EDGE-V: Edge AI for Intelligent Vehicular Systems is an interactive, hands-on IEEE VTS technical event focused on Edge Machine Learning for vehicular and transportation applications.

Participants will work with ESP32-CAM (AI Thinker) modules and an ESP32 development board to deploy lightweight machine learning models directly on embedded hardware. The event demonstrates how real-time vehicular perception and decision-making can be achieved at the edge without relying on cloud computation.

The session includes live demonstrations, guided hands-on implementation, and a mini challenge where teams optimize vision-based detection logic for intelligent transportation scenarios such as vehicle detection or emergency vehicle recognition.

The event strongly aligns with IEEE Vehicular Technology Society domains, including intelligent transportation systems, vehicular sensing, ADAS concepts, and edge intelligence for smart mobility.

He is actively involved in organizing and delivering hands-on technical workshops aligned with IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) focus areas.
