The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Simulations
Artificial intelligence (AI) has recently begun to significantly transform medical simulations by enabling accurate modeling of complex biological processes and clinical scenarios. This seminar speech provides an overview of the use of AI in areas such as training of surgeons with help of virtual reality, predictive disease modeling by machine learning with the use of a so-called digital twin of a patient, and generative models for personalized therapies. A number of studies point to significant improvements in surgeon preparedness and diagnostic accuracy.
