Authentication and authorization are foundational pillars of information security, yet they are frequently misunderstood or used interchangeably. This in-person technical session is designed to clearly distinguish between these two concepts and explain their critical roles in designing secure, scalable systems.
The presentation will explore widely adopted authorization models Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), and Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) using practical examples and intuitive real-world analogies. Attendees will gain insight into how authentication and authorization work together to reduce vulnerabilities, enforce least privilege, and strengthen access governance.
The event also includes dedicated time for networking, audience questions, and open discussion.
