The IEEE CS Colloquium held at Vidhyanagar Nellore was quite successful and highly appreciated by the local IEEE leadership and diaspora. 4 of us from IEEE CS, Niranjan, N Venkatesh (VP from Redpine Signals), Dr. Bapi Raju (from HCU) and myself traveled to Gudur in Nellore Dist. to reach on Sat morning. The local student branch at NBKRIST had ensured an impeccable local logistical arrangements. The event was very well received with an avg rating of 4.8/5 from the feedbacks we got. There were close to 250 students who attended colloquium and a large no. of those were IEEE members.

We found out that this region finds it difficult to get experts for technical activities and remains disconnected from the IEEE Hyd section activities. We need to up our efforts to conduct regular events in these areas in 2011. (Esp Rayalseema and some southern districts of Coastal belt)
