Jonathan Hong

Senior Design Engineer

Jonathan joined Dyson at the tail end of 2023 as a Senior Design Engineer. He has a mixed industrial background, from aerospace, tooling and jig fixtures to naval, and is now focusing on designing Dyson's Floorcare range. At Dyson, Jonathan has contributed to the latest Dyson V8 Cyclone and is currently leading key projects.

After graduating with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham in 2018, Jonathan joined a design and stress analysis company where he had to create robust designs that complied to many standards and design guides. During his stint, he largely contributed to overseeing the equipment and safety of passengers.

His passion to tinker, maintain, repair and improve products stemmed from an automotive background which provided him with a practical and hands-on experience in designing products.

Zhe Yong Teyo

Senior Engineer, Advanced New Product Development, Dyson

Teyo joined Dyson as an intern at Malmesbury, UK in 2019 and began working full-time at Dyson Malaysia in September 2020 after completing an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southampton.

At Dyson, Teyo is part of the Advanced New Product Development team, specializing in early-stage idea generation and integrating innovative concepts into Dyson’s products. She has held roles as a Graduate Fluid Dynamics Engineer and was responsible for optimizing purifier flow performance, and as a Filtration Engineer, ensured Dyson purifiers met rigorous global standards.

Teyo has contributed to the development and launch of several high-profile machines, including Dyson Pure Hot+Cool, Dyson Pure Cool, Dyson Pure Humidify+Cool, Dyson Big+Quiet, and most recently the Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact.
