The IEEE PES Official Handover & Induction Ceremony 2026
IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter (SBC), Department of Electrical Engineering, JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Pune, successfully conducted the “Handover & Appointment Ceremony Of IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter ”on Tuesday, 13 january 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The event marked the formal transition of responsibilities and leadership within the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter.
The objective of the ceremony was to officially appoint the new leadership team and ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities, activities, and documentation from the previous team to the newly appointed members. This event plays a vital role in maintaining continuity, transparency, and effective functioning of the student chapter. 
During the ceremony, the newly selected student representatives were formally appointed to their respective positions under the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter. The responsibilities and activities of the chapter were officially handed over, and the new tenure commenced with immediate effect.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Mrs. M. A. Kanawade, Faculty Advisor, IEEE PES SBC, who emphasized the importance of leadership, teamwork, and professional ethics in student activities. She encouraged the newly appointed members to actively contribute towards organizing technical events, workshops, seminars, and professional development programs under IEEE PES. 
The ceremony also included an address by the newly appointed Chair of the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter. During the address, the Chair presented the activity plan for the current academic year, outlining the proposed technical, professional, and student-engagement activities to be conducted under the chapter. The newly formed team was warmly welcomed, and sincere gratitude was expressed to all members for their willingness to contribute towards the growth and success of the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter. The Chair also acknowledged the support and cooperation of faculty advisors, coordinators, and student members, and encouraged collective efforts for the successful execution of planned activities throughout the tenure.
The Handover & Appointment Ceremony was conducted successfully and marked the beginning of a new phase for the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter. The event reinforced the spirit of leadership, teamwork, and professional commitment among the members. With a clear vision and planned activities for the academic year, the newly formed team is expected to actively contribute towards technical excellence, student development, and the overall advancement of the chapter.
