The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Student Branch Chapter, Institute of Remote Sensing, Anna University, is organizing a Talk on “Government Services: A Career Perspective” to provide students with first-hand insights into careers in public service and civil administration.

The session will be delivered by Thiru. Ragul K, IAS (2012 Batch, Sikkim Cadre), currently serving as the Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Southern Region), Chennai. Drawing from his extensive experience in governance, administration, and public leadership, the speaker will discuss career pathways in government services, the role of civil servants in nation-building, and the skills required to succeed in competitive examinations and administrative roles.

This talk aims to guide and inspire students from engineering and science backgrounds who aspire to contribute to society through civil services and public administration, offering practical perspectives on preparation, service life, and leadership responsibilities.
