The IEEE Chengdu Section 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM)  will be held on January 31, 2026 (14:30–17:30) at Room 335, Building C (Main Building), Shahe Campus, UESTC. The program includes the Section Chair’s annual review and 2026 outlook, the Treasurer’s financial report, Chapter Chair introductions and activity summaries, Section election/succession confirmation, two experience-sharing talks, and Section awards, followed by closing remarks.

Detailed Schedule:

  1. Registration & Entry (14:20–14:30)

  2. Opening Remarks by the Host/MC (14:30–14:35)

    • Welcome remarks

    • Introduction of Section ExCom and roll call of Tech Chapter Chairs

    • Overview of the AGM agenda

  3. Group Photo (14:35–14:45)

  4. Section ExCom Annual Report (14:45–15:15)

    • Section Chair (Prof. Ce Zhu): Annual summary and outlook for the coming year

      • Annual engagement/activity overview

      • Key achievements and highlights

      • 2026 priorities and strategic outlook

    • Treasurer (Prof. Wenyi Wang): Annual financial report

  5. Chapter Chair Introductions & Chapter Year-in-Review (15:15–16:00)

    • Each Chapter Chair provides a brief self-introduction and a high-level summary of the Chapter’s annual activities

  6. Tea Break (16:00–16:15)
  7. Section Annual Election / Succession Confirmation (16:15–16:30)

    • Announcement of positions

    • Confirmation of nominees/successors

      • Confirmation of successors for each position

      • Call for new nominations (optional; included as part of the formal process)

    • Voting and confirmation

  8. Section Awards (16:30–16:40)

    • Best / Most Active Chapter Award

    • Best Active Student Branch Award

     

  9. Sharing Session I (16:40–17:00)
    Suggested topic: Building a sustainable IEEE Chapter operation (e.g., invited sharing from one of the most active Chapter Chairs)

    • 15-minute talk

    • 5-minute open discussion & Q&A

  10. Sharing Session II (17:00–17:20)
    Suggested topic: Panel Discussions

    • How can we boost activity within local Chapters while establishing regular, structured communication and coordination between the Section and its Chapters?

    • How can we leverage the Section platform to bring international speakers, conference partnerships, and the IEEE ecosystem (Standards/TCs/journals/conferences) into lasting local impact?
