The IEEE PES/IAS/PELS Dallas Joint Section invites your school to participate in Kids Make STEM with Heart. A half-day outreach event designed to inspire middle school students (grades 5–8) to explore the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics (STEM). This event will provide students with hands-on activities, direct mentorship from engineers and professionals, and an opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.

While the event is inclusive of all genders, we highly encourage strong participation from girls, as women remain underrepresented in STEM fields. The event is scheduled for the 8th of February 2026.

Key Details:

Completely Free: There is no cost for schools, teachers, or students to participate.
Meals Included: Lunch/snacks will be provided for every student during the event.
Individual STEM Kits: Each student will receive a project kit to work on and take home.
Small Group Mentorship: Guided by IEEE volunteers, university students, and professionals.
Engaging Format: A mix of interactive projects, motivational talks, and fun STEM games.
