PREFACE OF THE EVENT
On 19th November 2025, IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group MJCET (IEEE WIE AG MJCET) conducted Purple Tank, an ideation and pitching platform designed to strengthen innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking among students. The event emphasized empowerment and inclusivity by requiring every team to have a female lead, reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to supporting women in technology and leadership roles.
Purple Tank offered students a professional environment to analyze real-world problems and present structured, market-ready solutions. Participants received guidance from experts across modern technological and entrepreneurial domains, helping them refine their ideas beyond theoretical understanding.
A distinguished panel of judges from AI, blockchain, startup operations, full-stack engineering, and creative entrepreneurship provided insightful feedback, giving students a deeper understanding of the current innovation landscape.
CONTENTS OF THE EVENT
1. INAUGURAL SESSION
The event commenced with a welcome address by Madiha Amberian, Chair of IEEE WIE AG MJCET. She emphasized the vision behind Purple Tank and its role in nurturing creativity, confidence, and problem-solving abilities. Participants were briefed about the structure of the pitching rounds, setting a clear and focused tone for the day.
2. INTRODUCTION OF THE PANEL
Syed Hamid Ali introduced the panel of judges, representing expertise from multiple industries. Their presence ensured participants received multidimensional insights into technology, business, and innovation.
Panelists included:

Their diverse backgrounds prepared participants for thoughtful and enriching interactions throughout the event.
3. PRESENTATION AND EVALUATION
Round 1 began with teams presenting their startup concepts using a guided PPT template. Each team received five minutes to pitch, followed by a two-minute Q&A session with the judges. Presentations covered problem statements, target users, unique solutions, and feasibility.

REMARKS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Address by IEEE Chapter Head – Mrs. Ayesha Naaz
Mrs. Ayesha Naaz commended the initiative and appreciated WIE’s effort in creating a platform that strengthens creativity, public speaking, and multidisciplinary thinking. She highlighted the value of women-led teams and the importance of inclusive opportunities.
Address by Faculty Coordinator – Mrs. Shubhangi Saxena
Mrs. Shubhangi Saxena acknowledged the impact of Purple Tank in encouraging innovation-focused learning. She emphasized the importance of cultivating leadership and confidence among students, especially young women entering technical fields.
Presentation of Mementos
Mementos were presented to the panelists in appreciation of their time, expertise, and guidance. The gesture recognized their contribution to enhancing the experience for all participants.
CONCLUSION
Purple Tank – Round 1 successfully fulfilled its objective of nurturing innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship among students. The event provided a meaningful platform for pitching ideas, receiving expert mentorship, and gaining real-world perspectives. With Round 1 completed, the shortlisted teams now move forward with stronger concepts and renewed confidence as they prepare for the next stage.
