Elevate Her: Break The Bias 2.0
Elevate Her: Break the Bias 2.0 – Women’s Day Special Technical Program is a flagship initiative conducted by the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group of Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology, with the active support of dedicated student volunteers. The program is designed to empower women in engineering by promoting technical excellence, innovation and equal opportunities, while celebrating Women’s Day with a strong focus on inclusion, skill development and long-term impact.
The event emphasizes emerging technologies through expert-led technical sessions, hands-on workshops on AI tools and modern technological trends and interactive learning experiences. A mini Ideathon will be conducted to encourage creativity, teamwork and real-world problem solving, followed by idea pitching sessions where participants can present innovative solutions and receive mentorship and feedback to strengthen their technical and professional skills.
As part of this initiative, students from diverse backgrounds including forward, backward and underprivileged communities will be identified and selected to actively participate and receive focused guidance and encouragement. Along with technical training, participants will be provided with soft skills development such as communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving and real-world exposure to industry practices and professional environments.
Through structured learning, innovation-driven activities, mentorship and continuous inspiration, Elevate Her: Break the Bias 2.0 aims to break barriers, bridge gaps and bring young women to the forefront of technology and leadership, empowering them to grow confidently and create meaningful impact in the STEM ecosystem.
