A National-Level Student-Centric Technical Mini-Symposium for Women Engineers

Event Description

WIE TechConnect 2026 is proposed to be organized as a national-level, student-centric technical mini-symposium on 25 March 2026, in commemoration of International Women’s Day. The event is planned with the objective of empowering women engineering students through technology-focused learning, innovation, and active participation.

The program is proposed to include one inspirational keynote address by a woman technologist, followed by parallel technical activity tracks such as a national-level technical quiz, an ideathon/innovation challenge, and hands-on or design-oriented technical activities related to emerging technologies. The parallel-track structure is intended to ensure wider participation and meaningful engagement among students.

Outstanding student teams and individuals are planned to be recognized through medals, awards, and certificates, encouraging excellence and healthy competition. By adopting an activity-driven and student-centric approach, WIE TechConnect 2026 is designed to ensure effective utilization of resources while aligning strongly with the objectives of IEEE Women in Engineering and the spirit of International Women’s Day.
