The session was organized under the supervision of Dr. Uzma Jamil, IEEE Incharge, GCUF, with the support of the VC GCUF Prof. Dr. Rauf-i- Azam & DSA GCUF Dr. Nadeem Sohail.
Objective of the Event
The primary objective of the session was to create awareness among final-year BS and MS students about the Fulbright Scholarship Program and other fully funded opportunities offered through the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP). The session aimed to guide students regarding eligibility criteria, application procedures, and key requirements for studying in the United States.
Guest Speaker
The session was honored by the presence of Ms. Madeeha Ali, Senior Program Officer, USEFP, representing the Programs Department. She has been associated with U.S. Department of State–funded exchange programs, including the Fulbright Program for Master’s and PhD degrees, since 2013.
Event Proceedings
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a warm welcome address by the host. The guest speaker was formally introduced, highlighting her extensive experience with USEFP-administered programs. Ms. Madeeha Ali delivered a comprehensive presentation covering the Fulbright Scholarship benefits, eligibility requirements, application timeline, selection process, and common mistakes to avoid. She also shared practical tips for preparing a strong application and motivated students to pursue international academic opportunities.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed, during which students actively participated and received detailed responses to their queries.
