The IEEE Student Branch will be organizing a Volunteer Training Session aimed at familiarizing IEEE members and student volunteers with IEEE’s official tools and reporting mechanisms. The primary objective of the session will be to provide an introduction to vTools, the official IEEE platform used for reporting events, officer activities, and volunteer engagements at the student branch level.

The session will begin with an overview of the importance of accurate and timely reporting within IEEE, emphasizing its role in ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuity of activities. Participants will be guided through the structure and functionality of vTools, including event creation, officer reporting, and submission procedures. The session will also cover key reporting timelines, roles and responsibilities of IEEE officers, and best practices to avoid common reporting errors.

In addition to vTools, the session will include an introduction to the IEEE Collabratec Portal. Participants will be briefed on how Collabratec can be used to connect with IEEE members worldwide, engage in technical and professional communities, and build a strong professional presence within the IEEE ecosystem.

This training session will be conducted to equip IEEE members and volunteers with essential administrative knowledge required for the effective management of IEEE activities. By the end of the session, participants are expected to gain clarity on official IEEE reporting procedures and develop confidence in using IEEE platforms to support structured and compliant volunteer operations.
