RobWIE: Sensors and the Arduino
The short course RobWIE: Sensors and Arduino was a training activity focused on a practical introduction to electronics and robotics, emphasizing the use of the Arduino platform and the application of different types of sensors through the free simulation tool Tinkercad.
During the course, participants learned the fundamentals of basic circuits, analog and digital signal reading, sensor integration (such as motion sensors), and C/C++ programming applied to Arduino. The activity combined theoretical explanations with hands-on experimentation, allowing students to build circuits, conduct tests, and understand the behavior of components in real time.
The initiative aimed to stimulate interest in robotics both within and beyond RobWIE, strengthen technical skills, and encourage female participation in technology and engineering, promoting collaborative learning and practical development.
