The IEEE Sensors Council, IEEE PES, and KL IEEE Student Branch are organizing an industrial visit to the Vijayawada Thermal Power Station on 27 February 2026 to provide students with practical exposure to large-scale power generation and industrial operations. The visit will include registration and a safety briefing, followed by a welcome session and technical presentation by plant professionals explaining the fundamentals of thermal power generation, plant components, instrumentation and safety practices. Participants will then take part in a guided tour of key facilities such as the boiler unit, turbine hall and control room to observe real-time operations. The program will also feature an interactive session with engineers to discuss industry practices, career opportunities and emerging technologies, concluding with a group photo, feedback session and return to campus.
