Skills, Strategy, and Staying Relevant in the AI Era

AI isn’t just changing what engineers build — it’s redefining what it means to be an engineer.
From cloud and data engineering to robotics and infrastructure, the skills that created success over the past decade are rapidly evolving. Engineers today must learn how to work with AI systems, not just build software without them.

In this virtual session, Tim DoddChair of the AI Innovation Network Philadelphia and a former software engineer turned technology sales leader — shares practical insights from the front lines of AI adoption across industry and government.
Participants will learn:
  • Which engineering skills are rising — and which are fading
  • How agentic AI is changing daily engineering workflows
  • Practical AI tools engineers can begin using immediately
  • Career paths emerging at the intersection of engineering, AI, and business
  • What engineers should focus on learning over the next 12–24 months
Whether you want to stay technical, move into leadership, or explore adjacent career paths, this session provides actionable guidance to future-proof your career.

Who Should Attend:

  • Mid-career and senior engineers exploring how AI impacts their role
  • Technical professionals considering a move into leadership or strategy
  • Cloud, data, and infrastructure engineers adapting to AI-driven workflows
  • Anyone in STEM looking to future-proof their career trajectory
