IEEE PELS Distinguished Lecture Program (DLP) on Opportunities and Challenges in Power Flow Control in a Modern Grid
The IEEE PELS Distinguished Lecture Program (DLP), jointly organized by IEEE PES/PELS/IAS Hyderabad Section and CVR College of Engineering, presents a technical lecture on “Opportunities and Challenges in Power Flow Control in a Modern Grid” by Prof. Kalyan K. Sen (Ph.D., PE, MBA, FIEEE), President & CTO, Sen Engineering Solutions, Inc.
The session will discuss modern power flow control techniques, grid congestion management, transmission system optimization, and the role of advanced transformer-based controllers in enhancing grid reliability and flexibility. The lecture will also highlight industry applications and future trends in power flow control technologies.

Biography:
Prof. Kalyan K. Sen, Ph.D., PE, MBA, FIEEE, is the President and Chief Technology Officer of Sen Engineering Solutions, Inc. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to power flow control technologies and FACTS systems. He has extensive industry and academic experience in transmission system enhancement, grid stability, and smart power flow control solutions. He is an IEEE Fellow for his contributions to the development and application of power flow control technology.
