Palestra: Aspects of Phasor Estimation Applied in Protection IEDs: Past, Present, and Future
The IEEE PES Student Chapter organized a technical lecture at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), featuring Professor Kleber Melo as the guest speaker.
The lecture, titled “Aspects of Phasor Estimation Applied in Protection IEDs: Past, Present, and Future,” addressed the evolution and development of phasor estimation techniques used in protection Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs). The presentation covered historical foundations, current methodologies, and future perspectives in digital protection systems.
The event provided students with deeper insights into signal processing techniques, protection system applications, and emerging trends in the power systems field.
The lecture fostered academic discussion and contributed to the technical development of participants, strengthening the chapter’s role in promoting knowledge in Power & Energy engineering.
