The IEEE R10 SAC Webinar 2026 – Pakistan Edition was successfully conducted online on 7 April 2026 under the umbrella of the IEEE Region 10 Student Activities Committee. The session brought together IEEE student leaders, volunteers, and young professionals from across Pakistan for an engaging and informative hour focused on leadership, opportunities, and the evolving role of engineering in national development. The event commenced with welcome remarks by Prof. Nosherwan Shoaib, Chair IEEE Islamabad Section, who highlighted the importance of student engagement and active participation in IEEE initiatives at regional and global levels. Around 100 students and young professionals attended the event, reflecting strong interest and participation from the community.

The webinar featured insightful talks from distinguished speakers. Dr. Natt Leelawat, Chair IEEE R10 SAC, provided an overview of the Student Activities Committee and its role in empowering student members across the region. Prof. Hammad M. Cheema, Director NUST Chip Design Centre, delivered an inspiring talk on Pakistan’s semiconductor future and its potential to drive innovation and economic growth. Dr. M. Umar Khan, Director RF Labs Private Limited, concluded the session by emphasizing the relevance of electrical engineering in addressing modern technological challenges. The webinar served as a valuable platform for learning, inspiration, and strengthening the IEEE student community in Pakistan.
