IEEE Student Branch invites you to learn the theory behind CAD modeling and create your first CAD part on Onshape, a free, online, modern Solidworks competitor. This hour long workshop will familiarize you with the basics of computer aided design and 3D modeling, a critical skill for any engineer.
Before the workshop, please create an Onshape account at onshape.com/en/education.
The workshop will consist of a short 10-minute lecture followed by a 50-minute exercise in which you will design a part using a guide. Helpers will be there to answer any questions and help you learn.
