Open Week - Swinburne
On Monday, 23rd February, Swinburne University of Technology hosted its Open Week, welcoming prospective and current students to explore university clubs and academic opportunities. The IEEE Student Branch at Swinburne University of Technology actively participated in the event by setting up an information stall to engage with students and promote IEEE membership.
During the event, the team successfully gained 20 new memberships for the Swinburne IEEE student branch. Students were provided with informational flyers outlining the benefits of joining IEEE, including access to technical resources, networking opportunities, workshops, and industry connections. To create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, chocolates and candies were also distributed to visitors at the stall.
The stall was managed by dedicated members Sandun, Yashwanth, Vimukthi, and Ishraf, who enthusiastically interacted with students, answered questions, and shared their experiences as IEEE members. Their collective efforts contributed to the strong engagement and positive response received during the Open Week event.
