IEEE VNRVJIET Student Branch, WIE, SSIT, and the Department of ECE, in collaboration with IEEE Hyderabad Section SAC, SSIT LMAG, SPS and IEEE WIE India Council, are organizing a talk on
“Cancer Awareness: Early Detection and Prevention”
This talk will provide an overview of Cancer, explaining what cancer is, its common causes, and the typical signs and symptoms to watch for. It will also highlight the importance of early detection through regular screening and medical check-ups, along with practical prevention strategies that can help reduce cancer risk and promote a healthier lifestyle.
Speaker: Dr. Mallik Singaraju
Dr. Mallik Singaraju is a Senior Oncologist with over 20 years of experience in cancer care and treatment. He is currently working at the American Oncology Institute, Nallagandla. He is the Founder of the Singaraju Cancer Foundation, through which he actively promotes cancer awareness and organizes cancer screening camps to support early detection and prevention. Dr. Singaraju has been enrolled in the Guinness Book of World Records for his participation in the largest breast cancer screening camp in 2016. He recently received another Guinness World Record for participation in a seminar on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. In recognition of his dedication to public health and community service, he has received several awards for his contributions to society and cancer awareness initiatives.
