DC-DC Converter Technologies for EV Fast Charging: Trends and Design Requirements
The rapid expansion of electric mobility is reshaping the design of EV charging infrastructure. As EV battery systems evolve from 400 V to 800 V and beyond, DC-DC converters in fast-charging stations must deliver high efficiency, wide output voltage capability, and reliable operation across wide power ranges. This webinar provides a structured overview of the current converter technologies used in EV fast-charging systems. Key design requirements, topology trends, and system-level considerations are discussed to highlight the technical challenges and emerging directions in high-power DC-DC converter development. The session aims to provide participants with a clear understanding of the evolving landscape of EV fast-charging converter design and the engineering priorities shaping next-generation solutions.
