ECE Streams & Careers Night
An event aimed towards second year students to help inform them about the career paths of the various specialities within Electrical Engineering. Our goal is to help direct and inform students as they decide what focus to specialize in (Power, DSP, Sensors/Circuits, Robotics) based on the insight from professional engineers in these related fields.
As a student you don’t really know what jobs exist with the various streams in Electrical Engineering. You don’t know what the career options look like, nor do you know what the day to day is like. To help build upon what the different streams look like and what you can actually do with each stream we want to host an event to provide insight into what skills you actually again from the different streams, and hear from industry representatives about the work that they do, and how their schooling impacted or could have benefited them to end up in the career they do today.
