SPECTRE - Signal Processing Expo and Creatathon for Technical Research & Excellence
SPECTRE is a premier national-level 24-hour hackathon organized by the IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Branch Chapter of BMS Institute of Technology & Management (BMSIT&M) under the SPS Bangalore Chapter and IEEE Bangalore Section. The event aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by challenging students to develop innovative hardware and software solutions to real-world, society-driven problems.
The hackathon will be conducted in two stages. The first round is an online idea submission phase where teams must present their proposed solution using the official presentation template. Based on evaluation, shortlisted teams will advance to the Grand Finale, a 24-hour offline hackathon where participants will design, build, and prototype their solutions under high-intensity conditions.
SPECTRE features dual tracks focusing on domains such as Signal Processing, Robotics, Communication Systems, and Intelligent Automation. Participants will collaborate, innovate, and compete to create impactful solutions while gaining valuable technical experience and networking opportunities.
The event brings together passionate innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers from across the country to build cutting-edge technologies that address societal challenges.
