Binary Quest: Crack The Code and JAM - Just a Minute
BINARY QUEST:
The Binary Quest is a technical activity where participants decode binary numbers (0s and 1s) into letters or words using ASCII code conversion. Each participant or team will be given with binary sequences that represent hidden messages.
Participants must convert the binary values into their corresponding characters to reveal the correct word or sentence within a limited time. The activity will be conducted as a competitive challenge, where the participants who decode the messages correctly and in the shortest time will be declared as winners.
JAM:
JAM (Just A Minute) is a technical speaking event where participants are given a technical topic and must speak on it continuously for one minute. The speaker should talk without hesitation, repetition, or deviation from the topic. Participants are judged based on clarity of thought, content, fluency, confidence, and time management. The event provides a platform for students to showcase their technical awareness and spontaneous speaking skills.
Rules:
1. Each participant will be given a topic to speak on.
2. The participant must speak for one minute continuously on the given topic.
3. Hesitation, repetition, or deviation from the topic is not allowed.
4. If a participant stops speaking for more than a few seconds, the chance may be
passed to another participant.
5. The use of notes, mobile phones, or external help is not allowed.
6. Participants will be judged based on content, clarity, fluency, confidence, and
time management.
