SIW Based Filtering Antenna
Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) based filtering antennas represent an emerging approach that integrates filtering and radiation functions into a single compact structure. This talk explores the design principles, advantages, and recent advancements in SIW filtering antennas, focusing on their ability to reduce system complexity, size, and losses compared to conventional cascaded designs. Key topics include SIW technology fundamentals, bandpass response synthesis, and radiation performance optimization. Applications in modern wireless systems, including 5G and radar, are highlighted. The session aims to provide insights into efficient antenna-filter co-design strategies for high-performance, miniaturized RF front-end systems.
