Biography of Speaker

Dr. Sriparna Saha received her B.Tech. degree from RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India, and her M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering department of Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Stage-II) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal, India. Prior to this role, she held faculty positions at Jadavpur University and two other institutions, accumulating over 8 years of experience in teaching and research. Her research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Machine Learning, and more recently, she has been focusing on Deep Learning methodologies. Dr. Saha has authored over 90 research publications in reputed international journals and conferences, including IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer. She is the author of any books like book Gesture Recognition, Springer, all are widely available through major online book retailers. In addition to her research contributions, Dr. Saha actively participates in peer review and serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals. Her major research proposal has been successfully funded under the Start-Up Grant from the UGC Basic Scientific Research Grant, and she has also received University Seed Money to establish her research laboratory. Dr. Saha holds several academic and administrative roles. Her administrative experience includes serving as Departmental NBA and NAAC Coordinator, TEQIP-III Joint Academic Nodal Officer, member of the Board of Studies, PhD Cell Co-ordinator among other responsibilities.
