The Blueprint Series (TBS) – Power Systems Design Challenge kicks off with an introductory session designed to set the foundation for the entire program. This first session will provide participants with a clear understanding of what power systems design entails, covering the key components of modern power systems and how they come together in real-world applications. The session will also walk through the typical design workflow, from load assessment and single-line diagrams (SLDs) to equipment selection and system planning. Participants will be introduced to the structure of the challenge, expectations, and deliverables, as well as the tools and approaches they will use throughout the program. The goal is to ensure all teams start with a shared understanding and are well-prepared for the design phase. This session is ideal for students and early-career engineers looking to build a practical foundation in power systems design and gain insight into industry practices.
