The XII International Conference for Young Researchers (ICYR 2026) — themed "Innovation, Nature and the Future: A Shared Scientific Space" — will take place on 20–22 May 2026 at the University of Agriculture in Kraków, Poland.

The conference is organized by the Doctoral Student Council of the University of Agriculture in Kraków and has been attracting a growing number of participants from Poland and abroad each year. Running annually since 2012, the event started as a national conference and gradually evolved into an international one, broadening its thematic scope over time to cover agriculture, forestry, geodesy, remote sensing, GIS, environmental engineering, biotechnology, renewable energy, and more.

The conference targets Master's students planning doctoral studies, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers. It serves as both a platform for presenting research results and a space for exchanging experiences and establishing international research collaborations.

This year's edition is held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (Marcin Kulasek), the Marshal of the Małopolska Region (Łukasz Smółka), the Rector of the University of Agriculture in Kraków (Sylwester Tabor), and the National Doctoral Student Association together with the Kraków Doctoral Student Alliance.

The IEEE GRSS Poland Chapter is a co-organizer and sponsor of the event, alongside partners such as geoforum.pl, Gazeta Leśna, Zarząd Zieleni Miejskiej w Krakowie, and the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Kraków.
