The Human-Centered Design (HCD) Session is an interactive and practical learning experience aimed at equipping participants with the skills and mindset needed to develop solutions that truly address real-world challenges.

In many cases, solutions fail not because of a lack of innovation, but due to a limited understanding of the users they are intended to serve. This session introduces participants to the principles of Human-Centered Design, emphasizing empathy, problem definition, ideation, and user-focused solution development.

Participants will gain insights into how to:

  • Understand and define user needs effectively
  • Apply HCD principles to real-world problems
  • Develop innovative, practical, and impactful solutions
  • Shift from assumption-based thinking to evidence-based design

The session is designed to be engaging and accessible to both students and professionals across various fields, particularly those interested in engineering, technology, and social impact.

By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of how to design solutions that are not only innovative but also relevant, usable, and impactful within their communities.
