“Hands-On AI: LLMs and Intelligent Agents with Cursor”
Understanding AI, LLMs, and AI Agents Through Hands-On Development
This workshop is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI Agents, combining both conceptual knowledge and practical exposure. The session aims to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world implementation by introducing modern AI development tools and workflows.
The workshop begins with foundational concepts of AI, including Machine Learning and Deep Learning, followed by an in-depth exploration of LLMs and their capabilities in generating human-like text and code. Participants will also gain insights into AI Agents and Agentic AI systems, emphasizing how these systems operate autonomously while still requiring human oversight.
A key highlight of the workshop is the hands-on session, where participants will actively engage in building a mini web application using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor. This practical component enables learners to understand how AI can be leveraged for coding, debugging, and problem-solving in real-time scenarios.
Additionally, the workshop includes live demonstrations to clearly differentiate between LLM-based responses and AI agent behavior, helping participants develop a deeper understanding of AI system architectures. Ethical considerations and responsible AI usage are also emphasized to ensure participants are aware of the societal and professional implications of AI technologies.
Overall, this workshop equips students and faculty with essential knowledge and practical skills aligned with current industry trends, enhancing their readiness for AI-driven environments and future technological advancements.
Clear understanding of AI terminology.
• Ability to differentiate between LLMs and AI Agents.
• Understanding of Agentic AI workflows.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
