The IEEE AP-S Student Branch Chapter at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur, is organizing an APEX Lecture Series on “ISRO’s Microwave Remote Sensing Program: Applications and Societal Impact.” The session will be delivered by Mr. Vivan Prakash, Scientist/Engineer–SE at the Space Applications Centre (SAC), ISRO, Ahmedabad.

Mr. Prakash has been actively involved in the design and development of microwave receivers for spaceborne applications, including MMIC and MIC technologies. Since joining ISRO in 2017, he has contributed to advanced remote sensing payloads and high-frequency RF systems.

The lecture will provide insights into ISRO’s microwave remote sensing program and its applications in areas such as Earth observation, environmental monitoring, and disaster management, along with its broader societal impact. The session will be useful for students and professionals interested in microwave engineering, remote sensing, and space technology.

The event will be conducted on 28 March 2026 from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM in virtual mode.
