TELECOM 2026 – Advances and Challenges in Telecommunications is a two-day technical–academic congress organized by the IEEE Communications Society Ecuador Chapter in collaboration with the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo (ESPOCH). The event brings together students, researchers, IEEE members, and industry professionals to explore advances and challenges in modern telecommunications.

The program includes a hands-on Radiocommunications Hackathon, keynote talks by distinguished experts, technical sessions, and paper presentations from the Maskay Special Issue, along with dedicated spaces for academia–industry interaction. TELECOM 2026 fosters innovation, knowledge exchange, and professional networking.

This edition features 10 emblematic university projects and 4 selected research papers, showcasing cutting-edge work in areas such as 5G networks, artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital twins, assistive technologies, and smart environments.
