Title: From Queue to Energization - Rethinking Power Capacity Expansion in the AI Load Era
Summary: Large AI data centers are increasingly being planned at hundreds of megawatts of power. While computing infrastructure can be deployed quickly, expanding grid infrastructure often takes much longer. This talk examines the implications of that timing gap and discusses what it may mean for power system planning as AI-driven demand continues to grow.
