Frequency Selective Surfaces
Two-dimensional structures called Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSSs) can be engineered to interact with high frequency electromagnetic waves in ways analogous to how resistors, capacitors, and inductors interact with circuit signals. This talk first presents how these structures can be realized, interpreted, and designed. These concepts are then combined to realize more complex structures for filtering, absorbing, and generally controlling electromagnetic waves.
