Resilient 6G Communications
Abstract: This talk will focus on the landscape of how the upcoming 6G communications standards will not only need to provision high bandwidth, low latency, etc., but also they will need to provision high resilience. Hence, we will delve into how trustworthiness and resilience can be design goals, how one can potentially measure these rather abstract quantities and how in some specific cases, such as high-power in-band interference, one can ensure resilient communications.
Biography:
Dr. Akshay Jain, Senior Member IEEE, is a Senior Research Scientist at Nokia Bell Labs, specializing in defense communications, artificial intelligence, and sustainability for wireless networks. He holds a PhD in Wireless Communication as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in Spain. His research focuses on 5G NR and 6G resiliency mechanisms across RAN, Core and management and orchestration plane, AI/ML methods with next-generation wireless systems, and sustainable 6G system design methodologies.
