This session presents Adaptive Network Security (ANS), an AI-augmented, cloud-native security framework designed to enhance real-time threat detection and automated response in distributed systems. The talk will include a live demonstration showcasing AI-powered anomaly detection, policy validation, and automated remediation workflows integrated into modern DevSecOps pipelines.

Biography:
Akshay Mittal is a Staff Software Engineer at PayPal and an IEEE Senior Member with over a decade of experience in cloud-native architecture, AI-driven security, and DevSecOps automation. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology, with research focused on AI/ML-driven threat detection, explainable security models, and automated remediation in distributed and serverless environments. Akshay is an active community leader in Austin and frequently speaks on AI, Kubernetes, cloud security, and modern infrastructure engineering.
