Frontiers in Power Electronics and AI for Sustainable Infrastructure – IEEE Guest Talks
This event features two distinguished researchers from Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia, presenting cutting-edge research in power electronics and intelligent control systems. The talks will cover sustainable DC power architectures for data centers and AI-based adaptive drive systems for urban mobility.
In addition to the technical presentations, the session aims to foster international collaboration by exploring joint research opportunities and strengthening IEEE activities between Estonia and Sweden Section. The event is designed for Master’s students, PhD candidates, and researchers from Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Mechatronics, and Computer Science.

Power-Optimized, Reliable, Intelligent, and Sustainable DC Module (PRISM) for Data Center Servers
This talk presents the PRISM concept, a next-generation DC module designed to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in data center power systems. The research focuses on optimizing power delivery architectures, reducing energy losses, and enabling intelligent energy management to meet the growing demands of modern data centers.
Biography:
Niwton Gabriel Feliciani dos Santos is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Power Electronics Research Group at Tallinn University of Technology. His research focuses on advanced power electronics, DC systems, and energy-efficient solutions for modern infrastructures. He is actively involved in IEEE as the Vice Chair of the Estonia Section Young Professionals Affinity Group, contributing to professional development and international collaboration initiatives.

Mahmoud Ibrahim Hassanin Mohamed is a researcher at Tallinn University of Technology in the Department of Electrical Power Engineering and Mechatronics. His work focuses on intelligent control systems, electric drives, and AI applications in sustainable mobility. He is also actively engaged in IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Chapter activities, promoting innovation and collaboration in smart transportation systems.
