1. Event Details

  • Event Title: Code Camp
  • Date: 15/04/2026
  • Time: 14:00 – 17:00
  • Location: ENIT, On-site
  • Organized by: IEEE ENIT SB SIGHT Group
  • Objective: The ENIT CodeCamp is an intensive development event in the form of a technical hackathon, aimed at bringing together motivated engineering students to design concrete technological solutions in response to real humanitarian problems. The main objective is to deliver operational digital solutions directly aligned with the field needs of the Tunisian Red Crescent, the official beneficiary-partner of the event, held in celebration of the IEEE Education Week.

2. Description of Activities

The event unfolded across three main phases during the three-hour session:

    • Opening / Welcome note: Participants were welcomed by the organizing team of IEEE ENIT SB SIGHT Group, followed by a brief introduction to the event's humanitarian context and the partnership with the Tunisian Red Crescent.
    • Main activity: Teams of engineering students engaged in an intensive technical hackathon, working on the design and development of digital solutions addressing the operational and humanitarian needs of the Tunisian Red Crescent (CRT). Projects such as an app that manipulates the database of the CRT and helps CRT volunteers equally share the funds and donations given.
    • Interactive segments: Teams presented their progress, with moments of peer exchange, mentoring, and technical Q&A to support development throughout the session
    • Closing / Outcome: The session concluded with a wrap-up of the solutions developed, feedback from organizers, and a summary of next steps regarding the partnership with the CRT

3. Attendance: 12 participants

4. Partners & Speakers

  • Sponsors or supporters: The Tunisian Red Crescent (Croissant-Rouge Tunisien) — NGO Partner & Beneficiary

5. Conclusion

The Code Camp organized by IEEE ENIT SB SIGHT Group, successfully brought together a motivated cohort of engineering students around a meaningful humanitarian challenge. By partnering with the Tunisian Red Crescent, the event created a direct bridge between technical innovation and real-world humanitarian impact. The solutions developed during this session represent a promising foundation for ongoing collaboration between the IEEE student community at ENIT and the CRT in addressing operational needs through digital technology.
