The Marina Barrage VFRB project is funded by PUB, LiV and vFlowTech. The project consists of two 20-ft containers which housed the 50kW/250kWh VRFB and the 50kW/62.5kWh Li-Ion (NMC) battery, the PCS’s, PV inverter, isolation transformers and power flow algorithm controllers. The system runs in an isolated microgrid mode, powering the car park lightings and one EV charger. The batteries are charged during the day by the 80kWp PV panels which formed the roofs of the carpark. This project demonstrates a hybrid battery configuration, where the power flow control algorithm took advantages of the unique benefits of both different types of battery technologies. The visit is about 45 minutes.
Participants are welcome to visit the Sustainable Gallery which is opened until 6pm. Guided tours are available at the start of every hour. We have booked the 5pm guided tours for our participants.
