On 17th April 2026, the IEEE SIGHT Student Chapter of Sri Sairam Engineering College and Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology successfully organized a Panel Discussion titled “Engineering Solutions that Speak for Society – A Pathway through IEEE EPICS”, along with the IEEE EPICS Phase 1 Review, at Alpha Hall from 9:15 AM to 4:00 PM, as part of IEEE Education Week.

The event focused on highlighting the role of engineering in addressing real-world societal challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions. Esteemed panelists shared their insights on how IEEE EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) empowers students to develop impactful, community-driven projects.

The session provided a platform for students to engage in meaningful discussions, gain exposure to socially relevant engineering practices, and understand the significance of technology for humanitarian advancement. Additionally, teams presented their EPICS Phase 1 project progress, receiving valuable feedback and guidance from experts to refine their solutions.

Overall, the event was highly informative and inspiring, encouraging participants to align their technical skills with societal needs and contribute towards building a better future.
