ShaktiSphere: Empowering Girls Through Self-Defense
This one-day workshop equips with practical self-defense skills and awareness strategies to increase confidence and feel safer in everyday situations.
On July 3rd, 2026, a three-hour self-defense session will held for the girl students of Gyan Shakti and Raksha Shakti schools in Mehsana, Gujarat. This collaborative effort by the Namanam Foundation and the Mehsana Police Department aimed to equip young women with vital self-defense skills and foster a sense of empowerment.
Manisha Patel , a Browne-I black belt instructor and ex-NCC cadet, led a comprehensive self-defense training session. The event was attended by the Mehsana Police Inspector (PI) and the SHE team, who highlighted the police department's commitment to women's safety and the importance of such initiatives. The training was both informative and engaging.
